So about a year ago my dog Bowser had a bit of a health scare. We took him to the emergency vet and it turned out he had apparently sprained the vertebrae in his spine. There was a complication where we ended up not getting the pain medicine he needed so we had to wait longer to pick it up. Till then he was on Methadone which helped but didnt totally take care of it, and he was visibly still uncomfortable if not in pain. At one point he was kinda drifting in and out of sleep which I was grateful for. I decided to get my guitar, came back down and started playing for him hoping it might help to calm him/make him feel better in some way while we waited. This song is what came out of that. btw we got the pain meds soon after fortunately and he's doing better now!
